Small Forward

Small Forward is a film production company founded by Mauro Monachini in 2008. It is headquartered in Rome and has branch offices in Venice and Turin. In 2023, the company has been certified a gender-equal place to work in Italy.

We maximize talent and opportunities to create unique stories for Italian and international audiences. While we expand co-production agreements with our partners, we select new projects and acquire exploitation rights to Italian literary works adaptable for international audiences.

To minimize the emissions of our activities, we follow the most effective sustainable production protocols to date. To make this a permanent strategy, we established a sister company, Set Forward, which offers sustainable filming consultancy for domestic and international productions. Benefits include reduced costs and a marked improvement in working practices.
